Based at Levenshulme Antique’s Market, FreshCoat’s was founded in 2026 by Ben Crocker initially as a weekend hobby for some extra pocket money.

Within a month or two, the excitement of turning work into a rewarding, therapeutic and engaging experience took over, and what started as a relaxing way for Ben to spend down time evolved in to a real ambition to make something of his passion.

From interior decoration and bespoke pine kitchen finishing down in Brighton, to building and restoring furniture from scratch in his mum’s cellar, restoration has always been in the background. With a lot of help and some luck, the experience and ambition is now making its way to the forefront.

All projects are started, worked through and finished at Levenshulme Antique’s Market Unit 21, situated at the back of the main building. You’ll usually find Ben down there Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, but feel free to get in touch if you’re planning a visit and we can confirm availability.
